Rules and Bylaws, etc.
These snowmobiles are a heck of a lot of fun, but they do require a bit of upkeep and maintenance, as well as
other ongoing costs so that we can all enjoy them. As a result, here are some guidelines we'll follow with respect
to use and care of the snowmobiles:
- To schedule time to use the snowmobiles, send an email to Kimball. Times will be given on a first come, first served basis.
- Everyone with an ownership stake shares all normal and routine costs equally. Specifically, there are several recurring costs such as annual registration with the state, annual pre-season tune-ups, etc. Additionally, there are consumables that need to be replaced such as belts and spark plugs. To pay for these items on a continuing basis, each participant will be assessed an annual fee of $150.
- Abnormal and non-routine costs will typically be the responsibility of whoever was using the snowmobiles when the cost was incurred. For instance, if you hit a tree and cause damage that needs to be repaired, it's your responsibility to pay for the repair. If you run out of oil while riding and damage the engine, repairs are your responsibility. If you overheat and cause damage by continuing to ride, you guesed it - it's your responsibility to fix it. In short, if you break it or damage it due to misuse, neglect, or accident, you'll be responsible for repairs or other costs incurred (i.e., damage to someone else's property, etc)
- When something not covered above needs to be purchased (for example, extra accessories, storage facilities, etc), a simple vote will be taken to approve the expense. Majority rules, and the expense will be split equally.
- Each snowmobile has specific requirments regarding the type of oil, spark plugs, belts, etc. that they use. When you use them, it is your responsibility to know these specifics, and follow the guidelines (i.e., put the right kind of oil in each sled). Specifics on the requirements will be posted here soon.
- Any other questions not covered by these rules (financial or not) regarding the use and care of the snowmobiles will be decided by committe. Again, majority rules.
- These rules are subject to change. Make sure you are aware of any recent changes before each use of the snowmobiles.
- Any complaints, gripes, disagreements, or general distain can be sent to our customer service department.
- Any glowing praise, thumbs up, thanks, or loving adoration can be sent to our fan mail department.
